Valentine's Week at Spring School
Valentine's Week is always one of the most special weeks in Spring SchoolMore than just talking about love, it's a moment to learn English in a lighthearted, fun, and meaningful way.
During Valentine's week, we encourage all students to wear red and pink, and it's amazing to see how the school transforms. Each unit is decorated with great care to bring out the true spirit of the celebration, creating a welcoming environment full of positive energy.
In the classroom, we work on vocabulary and expressions related to Valentine's Day, such as love, friendship, crush, and expressions like "to have a crush on someone" and "to express your feelings." But the most important thing is not just learning the words, but using them in games, conversations, and interactive activities. Everyone has a lot of fun learning!
We also explored how Valentine's Day is celebrated in different countries. Students learned about traditions in Japan, where it is common for girls to give chocolates on February 14th, and about Brazil, where Valentine's Day is celebrated in June.
This cultural exchange helps students understand that English is a bridge to the world. Furthermore, we conduct games and special activities that encourage students to participate, express themselves, and gain more confidence.
It was wonderful to see our students participating with enthusiasm, getting into the spirit, using the colors of the celebration, and engaging in the activities. Moments like this make learning more meaningful and create memories that go far beyond the classroom.
At Spring SchoolWe believe that learning English is also about having experiences, and Valentine's Day is a perfect opportunity to combine learning, culture, and fun.
With much love, Teacher Keila.
