Thanksgiving Dinner 2023
On November 26th, our annual Thanksgiving dinner took place.
Thanksgiving (In Portuguese, Thanksgiving) is one of the most important and celebrated holidays in the United States.
The celebration of Thanksgiving dates back to the time when pilgrims from England moved to “New England”, now the United States.
The story goes that upon arriving in New England during a very cold and harsh winter, without many provisions and food, many immigrants couldn't resist.
The following year the Native Americans taught the Pilgrims how to plant, hunt and fish. Then the following winter he did not face the same difficulties due to the abundance of food.
That year they organized a dinner to thank them for the help they received.
Years later it became a national holiday where people get together with their families to give thanks for the good things that happened during the year.
Just like them, we also organized a dinner to have fun and celebrate the blessings and achievements of our year. And 2023 was no different, with students from different units and their families, we had a super special dinner where each one brought a plate of food for us to share and have a very generous table.
This year we voted for the most creative dish, and like every year we also had games to liven up and liven up our night!
Among the games, of course, “pin the feather” could not be missing, which tested the participants' driving skills.
The most important thing was the participation of everyone there, with food, affection, fun and company.
Thanks to all these elements we had a pleasant and fun night. And I hope to meet everyone again at the next event!
