Sometimes we summarize our English to American 🇺🇸, but Canadian English has some really cool expressions ✨🇨🇦🍁

-Take off-

If you've ever traveled outside the country, you've certainly noticed that the expression “take off” appears a few times during the pre-flight safety instructions. Its most common meaning is “take off”, but in Canada it has become slang.

The meaning is more or less the same as we give to the word “vazar” here in Brazil, in the sense of 'leaving somewhere'.
