Spring School-sponsored fighter wins Japan's biggest MMA championship. Our sponsored student, Luiz Gustavo “Killer”, beat the Japanese fighter Koji Takeda at Rizin Landmark 5. Killer has this nickname and there is a reason, when he enters the octagon, he transforms, having a high potential to quickly knock out his opponent and need. The championship took place on April 29, 2023, in Shibuya, Tokyo. The fight was decided by the judges, giving the victory to Luiz Gustavo after 3 intense rounds in the under 71kg category. Our fighter has a record of 13 wins and only 2 losses. With 54% of the fights being by knockout, 38% by submission and 8% by decision of the judges. We'll be cheering for the next fights.
