2nd Edition of Thanksgiving Dinner – Springschool Iwata
Last Sunday, our Spring school in Iwata (Shizuoka) hosted the second edition of this unit's thanksgiving dinner, organized by our Teacher Vicky and Sensei Ale. The dinner was open to students, family and friends and filled with the most varied dishes and lots of laughs.
Thanksgiving is a famous American holiday and is often compared to Christmas festivities where families take a moment to be grateful for each other, as well as for their possessions, health, achievements, etc. The event featured fun and interactive games and a special game played by the well-known “jaguar friend” where our students and families had fun exchanging gifts and “stealing” gifts from other friends!
For the second year in a row, this and many other events at our school have been opening doors for our students to interact, get to know each other and expand their knowledge, but above all it brings us the sense of community that makes our school unique and each of our students special!
